Andrew Pitarre presents:

Soho-Style Loft in Emeryville

Listed at $759,000; Sold for $780,000

About this home's

Soho style comes to downtown Emeryville. Resting on the top floor of a 2005-built concrete and steel building, this bright and airy two-story corner unit combines a loft feel with single-family style living thanks to a walk-up entrance. Oversized windows flood the 1,132 square-foot modern-loft inspired space with abundant natural light. Clean lines and an open living, dining and kitchen area create an ideal stage for entertaining. In the designer kitchen, custom cabinets with paneled dishwasher, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances are set against a unique retro-style “yellow cab” tile backsplash. Engineered oak floors unite the main level. The primary bedroom suite resides upstairs in the loft and offers custom contemporary closet dressers and a tall walk-in closet, while the second bedroom rests on the main level, giving both rooms privacy. Conveniences include an in-unit stacked washer and dryer, one-car parking, elevator access, and secure bike storage. The location doesn’t get any better with BART nearby, plus downtown Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Pixar and Children’s Hospital. Close to Bay Street shops, Public Market and Temescal. The best of East Bay
right at outside your doorstep!

Emeryville is a small corridor between Berkeley and Oakland bordered by the eastern shore of the Bay. Though geographically the city is small—just a bit more than one square mile—there’s a great deal of function and influence packed into it.  Emeryville’s prime location is the hub of several major freeways and is an important transcontinental railway connection with service to Seattle, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Known as a dynamic arts and music community, you’ll find various works of art throughout the community in the public domain. The Art in Public Places Program, as commissioned by the city government, has attracted a growing population of artists and musicians specializing in traditional as well as high-tech mediums.
The major employer is Pixar Animation Studios. Locals who enjoy Pixar’s iconic animated feature films can often spot local landmarks and references in many of those movies.  Another major employer is IKEA, which anchors the well-known Bay Street shopping complex, an imaginative collection of retailers, entertainment, hospitality and residential opportunities. The destination shopper’s paradise comprises more than 382,000 square feet and draws visitors from all over the greater Bay Area.
